Travel Green anywhere in the planet.

I have read the article which was released by The Natural Health Magazine, page 20 that shares some tips to travel green wherever you go in the world.

Book Green Options.

If you're flying, choose direct flights; they release an estimated 30% fewer emissoins than ones with layovers (every takeoff, landing and taxiing uses additional fuel). If you're driving, you can rent hybrids from Hertz, Avis, and Budget at some locations, and Enterprise is offering flex-fuel vehicles that run on ethanol.

Park Light.

If you pack your bag ten pounds lighter, you save an airplane a half gallon of fuel. It adds up quickly: If all travelers reduced their loas by one pound each, airlines would use uo to 33 million fewer gallons of fuel per year. The same principle holds true for car: Every 50 pounds reduces a vehicle's fuel efficiency by about 1%, according to the U>S> Department of Energy.

Shoot Digital.

A digital camera is more eco-sensitive than a film one if you use rechargeable batteried (and recycle them at the end of their life span) and share your photos online instead of printing them, says Elizabeth Rogers, co-author of The Green Book (Three Rivers Press, 2007).
